Heute beheimatet Kaltehofe Kunst, Natur und Industriedenkmal. Die his- torische Villa beherbergt die Vergan- genheit des Wasserwerks. Der Muse- umsneubau zeigt eine Ausstellung zu den schönsten Brunnen Hamburgs. Auf dem Außengelände führt ein Na- turlehrpfad entlang der Filterbecken. For almost 100 years, the former wa- ter filtration plant supplied Hamburg with drinking water. Now it is a shared home for art, nature and an industrial monument. The classic villa accom- modates the history of the water- works, while the new museum buil- ding has an exhibition of Hamburg’s finest water fountains. A nature trail guides visitors around the filtering basins in the grounds. Das WasserForum zeigt Norddeutsch- lands umfassendste und zugleich mo- dernste Ausstellung über Wasserver- sorgung und Abwasseraufbereitung und deren Geschichte. Viele originale Exponate und Modelle veranschauli- chen die Wege von Regen-, Grund-, Trink- und Abwasser. Eine große Zahl an Mitmachstationen fordert die Be- sucher auf, selbst aktiv zu werden. The WasserForum showcases nort- hern Germany’s most comprehensive and up-to-date exhibition on water supply and sewage treatment and how they have developed over the years. Many original exhibits and mod- els illustrate the paths taken by rain, groundwater, drinking water and efflu- ent. A similarly large number of inter- active features encourage visitors to become practically involved.
